Volvo P1 Phone mount hack

Over on Swedespeed, I’ve posted a guide for how to create a robust and integrated cell phone mount into the car.

The idea is extendable enough to other cars which have a center dashboard speaker system. Mine is a C30, but it will work on any P1 car including the S40 and S60 and V50. Maybe others? The key thing is to run hose from the center air vent up to the phone to help keep it cool since the phone has a tendency to overheat sitting in the sun running Waze.
